So, needless to say that the snow today was not a funny joke by mother nature! Hopefully if its not so nice this weekend this year it will be beautiful next year on this day!
So it's officially one year today for my wedding! I am so excited and very happy that some of the major thing's are done. People are pretty amazed that I have the social hall booked, the church done, reception hall is reserved and photographer booked... I am telling you, all major stuff done by January 31st is my goal and it's looking good. Next is making the wedding invitations and reply cards!
Of course the highlight of the whole planning process is still not done.... The DRESS! That will be so much fun! Ok welll as long as I get what I want, and I not someone better watch out! Lol but I am sure I will find something I love! But I won't stop until I find what I want! Retailers beware... I am on a mission!

Things are going good...
So, in the past week I have got the following done:
Social hall- Dakota Community Club May 1st
Church- Faith Luthern on Dakota
Reception Hall- Caboto Centre on Wilkes
Photographer
Is it suppose to be this easy? I will be ordering paper in the next month I hope and maiking the invitations, reply cards, place cards and the church program. I should probably do all thank you cards at the same time so its all done for me later.
With our photographer we get an engagement picture session so I am super excited. I love our photographers work. She does great work... The pictures are beautiful, creative and unique.
I can't wait for the rest of the year, as its all so exciting and fun. I love planning stuff and making what I want come to life!

the first entry
So I decided today to start blogging the year leading up to my wedding... I am sure many thing's will happen in the next year that will be funny, sweet, frustrating and just plain fun! I figure why not keep a journal of it so I can look back and see the whole process years down the line!
Kelly and I got engaged on Sept 7th, 2009 at our house in Morris. Maybe I should have known something was up when he decided to make me breakfast in bed (which included him instucting me to get back into bed when I had to go to the washroom... lol). After we finished eating, he made me pancakes and he also made bacon but I am not a big fan of that, he said he left the oven on and went out the kitchen and came back with a ring box in his pj pocket. I could tell he was a little nervous as he got on one knee and kinda fumbled when he opened the box... of course I said yes... and I LOVE my ring!
Kelly's only imput on when to have the wedding was the fall... so I came up with Oct 9th, 2010. The long weekend is a great time for people to come in from out of town and the trees should be beautiful then for pictures. I have decided I will have the perfect wedding... one way or another! lol and anyone who knows me will know that my controlness will come out on this! good thing my maid of honour is exactly like me! lol
I will try to blog everyday, even if it's just to put down ideas, except while in Vegas next month!
